The world is (quite rightly) disgusted by the launch of a Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume…..
To say we were shocked is a major understatement, but a Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume has been released. And it’s every bit as terrible as you’d imagine.
Mirroring the outfit and hair (yes, the monstrosity comes complete with its very own Jenner wig) of Caitlyn’s iconic Vanity Fair cover, the fancy dress ensemble is comprised of a basque and a sash that reads: “Call Me Caitlyn“. This, of course, was the cover line for Caitlyn’s big reveal, which hit stands in June this year.
Caitlyn Jenner has become a widely celebrated and inspirational figure, and we applaud her. The idea of belittling her with a Halloween costume – on the night when you’re supposed to dress up as something scary – is really quite unfair. And, we’re pleased to say, the internet seems to agree.

Not only will it make you happier, but it could improve your health…
It’s not always easy to build confidence. But there’s a very important reason why you should.
Well. Aside from the fact that you’re a totally fabulous lady, obviously.
There are actually health risks associated with a lack of self esteem, including the chance of developing skin cancer. Yep. We said this was important…..
According to research in the journal Health Psychology , disliking your appearance can make you more vulnerable to the disease.
Scientists worked this out by selecting men and women from an American health study who’d all reported a history of sunburn and a low likelihood of using suncream. Both of these are linked to an increased risk of skin cancer.
They then asked the participants how much time they spend outdoors in the summer, as well as how attractive they consider themselves to be. Those who gave their looks the lowest ratings tended to spend the most hours in the sun.
While the researchers didn’t assess how much of that time was used sunbathing, it’s suggested that these people may be keen to tan because they think it improves their looks.
This is because people who are unhappy with their appearance are more likely to have a ‘low regard for keeping their bodies safe and healthy‘.
We think this is pretty blimmim’ sad – and we really don’t want any of you to feel this way. So here are our top tips for boosting your self confidence…..
Write down everything you love about yourself…..
Don’t worry if your list isn’t long to begin with, it’s all about quality over quantity. There are no limitations. You could note down anything from your favourite freckle to the thoughtful birthday presents you buy your friends.
Consider how you’d feel if you LOST these attributes. Makes a tan seem pretty irrelevant, huh? Continue reading This Is How To Build Your Confidence Levels

In a traditional setting, managers can communicate and team build informally by chatting to staff they encounter during the day, at their desks, before and after meetings, in the staff restaurant.
They can observe their staffs’ habits, skills, strengths and weaknesses. They can engage with them socially after hours, and organise team building events. They can spend a few minutes asking about their family, weekend, holiday plans.
Traditional managers can ignore technical tools such as email and video conferencing and manage in the traditional way, preparing hard copy hand-outs for meetings, inviting people to meetings on the day as they consider the agenda.
A virtual manager can’t use chance encounters to develop relationships with their staff. They must be much more tech savvy and more organised. They can’t call a meeting on the day, as staff will probably be out and about, dealing with business. They need to plan and schedule “meetings “or contacts in advance, develop and disclose meeting agenda, and email out briefing information in advance.
So the virtual manager must be better at planning and organising their own time, and that of their team members. They must be tech savvy.
Effective Team Building
A traditional manager can build the team by developing personal relationships with each member. They can organise meetings with a social slant, say over lunch or in a restaurant. They can organise social events and get togethers, even including partners and family on occasion. Continue reading Develop Your Management And Business Skills: Leading Virtual Teams Part 2
Thinking about saying ‘I do’, read this first…..
When do you think you’ll start thinking about marriage? How old do you think you’ll be? All questions with probably talked, debated and disliked over a bottle of wine with our mates. Which unless you are planning your wedding right now, isn’t something most of us can ever really know with absolute certainty.
But a new study has revealed there is an ideal time to get hitched – after new stats suggest that saying your vows between your late 20s and early 30s decrease the risk of divorce.
University of Utah researcher Nicholas Wolfinger, suggests that age is linked to a lasting marriage — and that the likelihood of divorce is lowest when you get hitched between the ages of 28 and 32 – known as the ‘Goldilocks’ age range. Tie the knot before or after that, and risk of splitting from a spouse increases, according to Wolfinger.
“The odds of divorce decline as you age from your teenage years through your late twenties and early thirties“, Wolfinger says. “Thereafter, the chances of divorce go up again as you move into your late thirties and early forties“.
These findings are backed up by a similar study conducted by Marisa T. Cohen, an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at St. Francis College and co-founder of the Self-Awareness and Bonding Lab who asked 773 people ‘what’s the best age to get married?
The opinions gathered from people closely matched Wolfginger’s study. “An overwhelming majority — 83.7 percent — felt that it is ideal to get married in between 25 to 34 years of age“, Marisa says.
The age range “existence is beyond question“, according to Nicolas Wolfinger. So you may want to put a away those wedding magazines for a few more years…..
