Kim Kardashian’s Four Hour Make-up Marathon, Revealed…..

We’ve got the insider products and tricks behind Kim’s contour selfies

Ever wondered how long Kim Kardashian West’s contour look actually takes to achieve? We’ve got the painstaking breakdown.

Grab your brushes and prepare for a make-up marathon. The entire contour process takes FOUR hours and 50 steps. Yes, you read it right… 50 steps. Wow.

Kim K’s now famous striped technique was unveiled in a make-up masterclass with Mario Dedivanovic, her make-up artist of choice for over 10 years.

You’ll need to make room in your cosmetics bag to recreate the look. A total of 56 products were used including multiple brushes.

Kim singles out Guerlain moisturiser as one of her skin prep faves but she also uses Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturiser, slathered on every body part that’s visible.

I love Guerlain moisturiser, but it’s so expensive that I ask for it for Christmas“, Kim says. Kanye, you know what to add to your Christmas shopping list.

Step-by-step contouring

Blending, blending and more blending is key to her flawless face. When it comes to her base (Giorgio Armani #7 and #9, FYI), it’s revealed Kim’s obsessive about coverage being applied up the neck rather than down because “she’s scared of wrinkles”.

One of the big reveals was the star product for the contour… Expect a major stampede for Benefit’s Hoola bronzer.

But other products used by make-up artist Mario haven’t even been released yet. Keep your eyes peeled for future launches like Hollywood highlighter by Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Other brands used repeatedly in her 50-step routine include: MAC, Charlotte Tilbury and Benefit as well as countless Sigma and Trish McEvoy brushes.

As a finishing touch, not one but FIVE Tom Ford lipsticks are used to create Kim’s custom lip colour.
