The reality star sticks up for her sister after the VMAs it was only last week that Kim Kardashian revealed body shamers had caused her to stop smiling in photos.
The 34-year-old told C magazine that the harsh comments she received while pregnant with her daughter North had ‘changed her mood’ when posing for paparazzi shots.
Now Kim is expecting her second child with husband Kanye West – and is still getting trolled about her looks. Sighs.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West co-ordinated their outfits
Kim stepped out at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night in a floor-length satin gown, which featured a sexy thigh slit, lace-up detailing across the chest and long sleeves.
She’d matched the Balmain design to Kanye’s taupe cargo pants and baggy jumper combo, pairing it with a slicked-back ‘do and flawless make-up.
Despite putting so much effort into her look, Kim ended up being the subject of cruel jibes.
Memes started popping up across the internet, comparing her to both a potato and Danny Devito’s Penguin character from Batman Returns . Um, what?
Others logged onto Twitter to criticise Kim for looking ‘fat’, which is both ridiculous AND unfair.
As one user commented: ‘Can’t believe people are body shaming Kim Kardashian and poking fun at how fat she looked at the #VMAs. She’s a pregnant woman.’ Preach it, sista.
Kim has stayed dignified through all of this, only taking to Twitter to thank those who helped her put her outfit together.
Kourtney Kardashian also stepped out in Balmain
She wrote: ‘VMA’S 2015! Thank you @balmainparis & @olivier_rousteing for my dress!’ before telling fans: ‘VMA’S GLAM- Thank you @makeupbymario @michaelsilvahair for my gorgeous glam tonight!’
But her older sister Kourtney posted a thinly-veiled response on Instagram.
The 36-year-old – who was also working Balmain in a plunging red jumpsuit – captioned a shot of herself with Kim: ‘Me and my gorgeous pregnant sister.’

We just hope Kim’s attention was averted by Kanye’s announcement that he’s running for US president in 2020…
