SEVEN LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES TO LEARN FROM AN EAGLE….

  1. Eagles fly alone and at high altitudes. They don’t fly with sparrows, ravens and other small birds.

MEANING;  Stay away from narrow minded people, those that bring you down. Eagles flies with eagles. Keep good company.

  1. Eagles have an accurate vision. They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

MEANING; Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed.

  1. Eagles do not eat dead things. They feed only on fresh preys.

MEANING; Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

  1. Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagle get excited, the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This give the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree.

MEANING; Face your challenges head on  knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably. WISE WORDS FROM A GREAT THINKER AND OBSERVER!!

Buffalos kill 7 people every year.
Lions kill 500 people every year.
Hippos kill 800 people every year.
Spiders kill 5000 people every year.
Scorpions kill 7000 people every year.
Snakes kill 10000 people every year.
And then, surprisingly,

Mosquitoes kill 2.7 million people every year. Yes, the smallest are the deadliest!

Small ‘sins’, hardly noticed by many, are the most deadly to your spiritual life.

Avoid excuses for not praying and allotting few moments of your day to your Creator.

Sins of omission are just as deadly as sins of commission.

Gossiping and small lies, are committed more frequently and are deadly.

Mind those little compromises that you do daily. They are the ones that will bring your downfall. Continue reading WISE WORDS FROM A GREAT THINKER AND OBSERVER!!

CAN GOD BE MOCKED??? SEE WHO MOCKED GOD:!!!

John Lennon (Singer):

Some years ago, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
‘Christianity will end, it will disappear.
I do not have to argue about that.. I am certain.
Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him’ (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ):

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before his inauguration as President and he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):

During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ),
while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said:
‘God, that’s for you.’

He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner. Continue reading CAN GOD BE MOCKED??? SEE WHO MOCKED GOD:!!!

KIDS PLY START-UP!!!!!

We have seen this at all our homes. Kids, about 5-6 years old, get their toys together and play ‘House, House’. The kids’ play is loosely based on what they have seen adults do at their respective homes. It is always a pleasure to watch them play. Elders at home will do well not to intrude unless necessary because when left alone, kids are at their real best. They quickly learn to ignore the presence of others around them, and slip easily into self-declared roles in the ‘game’ they have chosen to play.

Let’s say you are an elder, sitting and carefully appearing disinterested, but keenly watching the kids play. They cook a ‘dish’ and bring it over to you, served on a toy plate. You play along, and go about ‘tasting’ the ‘food’ and making the right comments/noises as if you are enjoying something exquisite.

You owe it to the kids to join in in their ‘game’, indulge the kids, and play our assigned ‘role’. Parents and other elders feel privileged to be included as part of their ‘game’. They instinctively know what Plato the Greek philosopher (427 BC – 347 BC) meant when he said, “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”

In the larger picture of global business, we today have the ‘game’ called start-ups. All companies, big and small, are fascinated by happenings in the world of apps, ecommerce, digital marketing and entrepreneurship. They join in. The start-up ecosystem throws up a lot of toys. Established funds, businessmen and global corporates are willing to play parents, mentors and elders. Parents and elders in a society have to take responsibility for most of our kids failing at becoming what they set out to become.

Parents and elders will list their responsibilities towards kids and their ‘play’: Continue reading KIDS PLY START-UP!!!!!

THE 5 LEADERSHIP RULES FOR INSPIRING AND OVERCOMING FEAR IN 2016

Fear of all I wanted to wish everybody good health, happy days and an inspiring year for you and your loved ones.

We can all agree that 2016 will be fearful and uncertain for most people.  Here are some of the challenges we face as leaders of companies:

Continued threats of terrorist and cyber attacks
Political and economic uncertainty in USA and Europe
Further concerns whether China will stay on the growth curve and how Chinese leaders will react to 2016
Impact of real time social media on business
Other worries depending on your business etc etc etc
So what will be the 5 rules for overcoming fear and  leading in the world of 2016?

Face into your fears head on and embrace uncertainty

Face into reality of the fear and potential consequences of getting it wrong for your company. As Richard Branson said to me last month

“always protect against the downside risk but then push and move for the upside” – Richard Branson

Stay courageous and keep inspiring Continue reading THE 5 LEADERSHIP RULES FOR INSPIRING AND OVERCOMING FEAR IN 2016
