Head, IT/Strategy: Patrickonsult Ltd (2016 to Present)

Job description:

  • Administering and control of all IT related tools,
  • Presentations to prospects, including live Demo, where applicable,
  • Training (both in-house staff and clients’ staff),
  • Development of strategies for market drive of component products and services,
  • Advising the CEO on current technological and trending issues in our core competencies (Finance, Management and IT Consulting),
  • Assist the CEO in market development, including sourcing for prospects,
  • Any other function as may from time to time be assigned by the CEO.

 

 Administrative Assistant; Federal Ministry of Defence

ICT Department (June 2004 – December 2015)

The core responsibilities of this role include supervising line staff by articulating expectations and been clear about roles and relationship. Supervising daily and weekly IT procedures, designing, implementing preventive maintenance for all IT hardware and software, and ensuring the maintenance of appropriate filing system.

In addition to these responsibilities, organising and establish meetings on regular basis with designated individuals to facilitates conducts of humanitarian relief operations, preventing of violence against women, protection of civilians, disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration of combatants, conflict negotiation and crisis management, civil military coordination, conflict analysis and interfaith conflict resolution and security of life and properties.

During my time in this role, trained 5 new hires, provide backup support for other department to prevent loss of information, coordinate team events and activities at best yet economical locations. Also, have implemented a new filing and indexing system which has resulted in greater ease of access for all personnel who are authorised to access this information.

 

Programme Coordinator; DHF Technologies Nigeria, Maiduguri Borno State

IT Training Institution (June 2009 – May 2011)

The role involve management of fiscal operations including budget development, modifications, track expenditures, continually monitor the programs financial health, making recommendation as well as variance analysis. Assist in the development of short and strategic plans for programs, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance. Designing and implementing basic preventive maintenance for all IT hardware and software.

In addition, responsible for organising suppliers orders for the institute and ensuring that all security procedures were follow to ensure safety of staff and students, and safety of the institute properties. Administration of student results.

During my time in this role organise training seminars to address staff needs and identify relevant external training opportunities. And networking with other coordinators, institute and organisation to share information and to gain knowledge that would help improve the program.


Internal Audit Department; Stockmatch Investment LTD (Maiduguri, Borno State)

Stock Broking Firm (May 2010 – December 2011)

The core responsibilities of the role include providing support to the company anti fraud program. Evaluating and providing reasonable assurance that risk management, control and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organisation’s objectives and goals to be met. Evaluate regulatory compliance program with consultation from legal counsel. Evaluate information security and associated risk exposure. Engages in continues education and staff development.

In addition to this role, reports risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified to management and provide recommendation for improving the organization operations, interns of both efficient and effective performance. Monitoring compliance with the laid down polices of the organisation and constantly reporting violation to management as well as suggesting improvement to lapses.

During my time in this role organised and implemented efficient work flow system that resulted in significant cost saving. And effectively prioritised and organised workloads in a constantly changing environment to meet daily and weekly schedules.

 

Consultant Teacher; Mangu Secondary School Mangu, Plateau State

(January 2013 – August 2013)

This role involves preparing students for the West African Examination Council examination, National Examination Council examination and Joined Admission and Matriculation examination Board examinations. I also carry out counseling assignment as determined by the school authority and carry out voluntary activities like joined lectures on ethics, moral principles and values.

During my time in this role, there was academic excellence as 80% of students that sit for both WAEC and NECO examination pass my two subjects (Economic and Commerce) at credit and above.
